Founder and CEO, Jennifer Mead has been in the transportation and logistics industry since 1992. During her 30-years she has worked in sales, marketing, operations, management, and product development across multiple modes, specializing in the ground expedite and air freight segments.
Jennifer’s extensive background is steeped in a commitment to provide authentic service rooted in a true desire to serve customers, and to exceed their expectations. This commitment is at the foundation of S-2’s success as it approaches its 18th year in business.
Her current role is focused primarily on strategic planning for S-2’s future growth, and she spends significant time in business development and marketing. She is also focused on increasing capacity, product development and human resources. She’s built valuable relationships with customers and vendors over the years and is proud of the success S-2 has had in helping businesses and individuals achieve the business goals. Under Jennifer’s vision, the company thrives on providing personalized attention and exceptional customer service.
Equally as important for Jennifer is the company’s focus on its employees. As the company grows, S-2 has become laser-focused on employee training and long-term employee development. Jennifer graduated from Kent State University with a degree in Psychology and minor in Business Administration. She is a certified sales and leadership trainer and is also a Certified Transportation Broker. She has been named a Woman to Watch in transportation and S-2 has been recognized as a Top Woman-Owned Transportation Company multiple times.
While she and her family consider McDonough, GA, she now calls SC home moving to the low country in 2020. She resides with her husband Chris and with her youngest daughter, Ashleigh, who attends USCB on a golf scholarship. Her eldest daughter, Jessica, also works for S-2 and is a new mom to Elle who was born in 2021. She is also finishing her schooling at College of Coastal Georgia. The family has two dogs named Pablo and Denali. She enjoys golf, cheering on her golfer daughter and babysitting her granddaughter.
She is actively involved in her community and in supporting youth and collegiate athletics.
Jennifer attended Kansas State University and graduated from Kent State University. Jennifer is a Certified Transportation Broker. She serves on the School Council of the local Middle School.
After working behind the scenes with S-2 since its inception handling the financial management of the business, Chris joined the S-2 team full-time in December of 2012. He has an extensive background in business, having worked within the Kinko’s management organization for nearly 20 years opening new operations, training employees and managing stores for quality service and profitability. Chris utilized his training experience, following his career with Kinko’s, teaching high-school students math in the Henry County School District.
Chris’s diverse background in management and training makes him a perfect fit for his current role as CFO. On a day-to-day basis he is responsible for managing S-2 finances, handling purchasing, supporting facility management and leading our Human Resources Department. He is strongly committed to our Company Vision (to be the most loved and respected transportation solution provider by customers who know us and use us) and ensures the team has the proper foundation to achieve its goals.
He grew up in Westerville, OH where he played Varsity golf. He was part of an OCC Championship Golf team twice and earned a scholarship for his golf skills. He also played on the JV Tennis Team. Chris graduated from Kent State University with a degree in business. At Kent he played Lacrosse. After college he continued to play Lacrosse in Michigan for several clubs and a semi pro team.
When not at work Chris leads an active life, centered around family and community. He has served as the President of the HOA for nearly a decade and spent countless hours coaching Fast Pitch Softball. He has enjoyed coaching his girls for many years in Fast Pitch Softball and now is enjoying playing golf with Ashleigh who is currently a Freshman, matriculating at The University of South Carolina at Beaufort.
Chris resides in the Bluffton, SC area with Jennifer and their two daughters, Jessica and Ashleigh.
Brian joined S-2 as the Vice President and General Manager, he's tasked with developing and implementing a strategic sales strategy and vision for our Company. Brian's transportation career started in 1994 with Airborne Express. During his career, Brian has gained transportation experience in Next Flight Out / Over the Counter Air Expedite, Domestic and International Freight Forwarding, Ground Expedite, Regional and Long Haul Truckload Services, Dedicated Truckload Services, Warehousing and 3PL Freight Management. His previous career experience included positions as Account Manager, Sales Manager, Operation's Manager, and Director of Sales and Operations. Brian received his Green Belt in Lean Six Sigma and has successfully applied these practices in the supply chain industry to improve profitability for both the customer and the operating organization. He is very excited to see how he can deliver value, service and savings to your organization!
Outside of work, Brian enjoys spending time with his family. He loves the outdoors and enjoys biking and running. Brian is very involved in his community and volunteers his time as a basketball coach.
With decades of experience in transportation and warehousing, Stefanie Meuse has cultivated a deep knowledge of diverse logistics operations. Her expertise spans multiple transportation modes, including expedite and air freight, truckload, local P&D, and LTL. Stefanie brings to S-2 an impressive background in warehouse management, raw-to-finished product distribution, and pick-and-pack supply chain operations.
Her commitment to excellence is supported by her dedication to exceeding expectations in every endeavor. Stefanie thrives on the challenges and opportunities that come with the dynamic logistics industry, finding fulfillment in learning something new every day.
Outside of her professional life, Stefanie is passionate about her three children, drawing inspiration from her family to fuel her drive for success. She embraces the philosophy of Francis Bacon's words, "Knowledge itself is power," as a guiding principle in both her career and personal growth.
Kristina McCallum Moyer joins S-2 as the Manager, Operations. She's a graduate from Georgia Southern with a Bachelors in Logistics and an MBA. Immediately after graduating from Georgia Southern in 2014, Kristina began her career at Hub Group. During her three year tenure at Hub Group she worked as an account manager, managing large accounts, such as Chep Pallets, Textron, Graphic Packaging, West Rock and Carlisle Coatings. With her experience and "go-getter" attitude, Kristina is poised to take S-2 to the next level.
In April 2020, Kristina and her husband, James welcomed a new bundle of joy to their family, Emmarie.
In her free time, she loves Auburn football, spending time with her family and friends and traveling.
Annette Bartlett joins S-2 as the Manager, National Accounts. She brings with her more than 20 years of transportation sales experience with companies such as Delta Airlines and Accelerated Inc. Her career includes a strong base in the freight forwarding and 3PL markets. Throughout her career, Annette has gained valuable knowledge in Domestic and International Freight Forwarding, Warehousing, Linehaul, and Truckload Services. Annette is tasked with expanding our market presence within our Freight Forwarding and 3PL customers.
Passion and hard work are Annette’s claim to fame. She loves her job and loves her customers. She brings positive energy to both customers and co-workers alike. Annette lives by 3 words every day: Honesty – Integrity – Loyalty.

In December 2022, Jon Smitherman joined the S-2 family as Manager, Truckload. He brings more than 26 years of transportation experience specifically in over-the-road truckload operations, both asset and non-asset based. Most recently, he served as Logistics Manager for Gourmet Foods International, a leading provider of gourmet cheeses and other specialty products from all over the world. Other experience includes the management of a 70-truck operation that focused on safety and on-time service.
In his role, he will work to build a truckload department that will provide truckload services (spot market and dedicated) as well as specialized services, which include flatbed and heavy haul. These additions will assist S-2 in further diversifying its service offerings and will result in increased revenues!
During Jon’s free time, he enjoys sports, outdoor activities, exercise, reading and cooking.

Matt joins the S-2 sales team with 8+ years of sales experience in the fitness and beverage industries. He graduated from Virginia Tech with a degree in Nutrition and Exercise Physiology. Claudia is a Dispatch Coordinator here at S-2. She embodies several years of customer service experience and a diverse understanding of warehousing.
During her spare time, she enjoys music, movies and playing the drums. Claudia notes that as being her reset, especially during the Fall and Winter, as they are her favorite seasons. When time permits, excursions to the mountains and relaxing countryside are welcomed getaways for Claudia and her fur baby, Lila, who will turn 10 years old in January 2023.

After 17 years in retail leadership, Katie recently transitioned to a career in logistics. Katie is eager to learn everything there is to know about the shipping industry and logistics and is excited about where this new path will lead her.
Outside of work, Katie loves going to museums and the symphony, listening to music, thrifting, and collecting vintage items. She is a musical person and enjoys being with her family and worshiping at church.

Previously from the airline industry, Stephanie spent 13 years with Delta gaining a wealth of knowledge from various departments. After stepping away from the airline industry, she transferred her skills and knowledge into a mixture of professions. Her experience in the transportation and logistics industry include working as an overnight dispatcher for UPS Supply Chain Solutions. With great interest in the industry, she added freight forwarding, followed up with nearly 4 years working as an Ocean Import Specialist and working for her family owned/operated business as a Dispatch Coordinator/Booking Agent.
Thanks to her passion for education and willingness to educate others, she was granted the opportunity to teach at a private Christian School in Stockbridge, GA.
Stephanie is the proud mother of 2 children, ages 24 and 20 years old. In her spare time, she enjoys travelling and spending time with friends and family.

Colleen Mavroudis is a Strategic Account Executive II building customer relations, quoting, and booking. Colleen has over 20 years of experience in a number of areas in and outside of transportation. She has served as a load manager, account manager and terminal manager in the logistics world and has also worked in accounting and sales. Her varied experience, strong drive, and commitment to customer satisfaction makes her a great fit in any capacity.

Alyssa is smart, helpful, and determined to learn. She joined S-2 as a Customer Service Specialist, which proved to be a "perfect fit", since she appreciates a fast - paced work environment that keeps her on her toes. She has since been promoted to her current role as Logistics Specialist I.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her kids and traveling. Reading, DIY projects, making shirts and cups also serve as great pastimes for Alyssa.

Melissa is part of our Accounting team. She is responsible for ensuring customers are invoiced accurately & promptly and assists in getting our vendors paid on time!

Penn Schlitt comes to S-2 with 20 years of experience in the transportation industry. His experience in the industry spans from the carriers perspective to several positions that add additional layers of knowledge to the S-2 team. Penn's operational mind drives him to strive for major goals, while creating small goals to help continue to move forward. He's transparent, solution driven, loaded with positivity, loyal and honest. It is his belief that a positive attitude will create positive results and because positivity can be infectious, that's the vibe that he adopts in life.
During Penn's free time, he enjoys relaxing walks on the beach, working in the yard, watching most sports on TV, and spending time with his wife (She likes football so she's a winner for sure), family, and friends.

Jill Stubbs introduction to 3rd party logistics began the week of her 20th birthday. A decade later, the celebration continues. The bulk of Jill's experience in transportation includes full truckload, particularly reefer freight. She also has an extensive background in brokerage and management.
On June 7, 2017, Jill's world changed with the birth of her first son. Her hobbies now center around the joy and pleasure of EVERYTHING that includes him and their family time together.
Jill stated, "My goal at S-2 is to expand further into the world of transportation with expedited freight and learn as much as possible, as well as, develop long lasting professional relationships with the [customers] and the company."
Jill brings to S-2 a "CAN DO" attitude. She's ready for the new challenges that are associated with the fast pace of the expedited freight world here at S-2.

Alyssa is a Tracking Coordinator at S-2. She's energized, passionate, hardworking, and has a positive outlook with a refreshing level of enthusiasm to the day-to-day morale.
Alyssa entered the logistics industry fresh with S-2. Her extensive customer service experience and ability to easily adapt is sure to be an asset to S-2 and our customers.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending quality time with family and friends and her fur babies.
Though transportation is a new journey for Alyssa, she’s excited about the future opportunities that she will gain from her experience here at S-2.

When not working, Andy is happiest spending time with family and friends. He cares deeply about causes like Habitat for Humanity and pet rescue centers. His personal motto, "Keep heading West," reflects his adventurous spirit.
Andy enjoys hobbies such as yoga, going to the gym, watching movies, and traveling.
He admires his parents for their kindness, generosity, and willingness to do anything for the people they love. Andy wants to be remembered as someone who was kind, caring, and had a good sense of humor.
His best skill at work is communication. Before joining S-2, Andy gained diverse experience in hospitality, logistics, purchasing, and ad operations for an aviation magazine. He has lived in six different states and has a cat named Nomi. Andy loves spending time with his family and especially cherishes moments with his nephews in Michigan.
Andy hopes to return to Spain someday, continuing his journey of exploration and connection.
Hank Whitaker joins S-2 as a Tracking Coordinator for our tracking team. He is kind, easygoing, attentive, and adaptive. Hank’s experience in logistics is from the driver’s seat. For more than two years, he drove long-load freight and did so with pride, a strong work ethic, and a heightened passion for the logistics and transportation industry.
During Hank’s free time, he enjoys skateboarding, record collecting, and reading.
He wants to be remembered for his kindness and good deeds.
His personal goal is to thrive in the logistics industry, and that starts here at S-2, where he will grasp hold of all the knowledge from the team and become his motto which is, “Be like water,” - Bruce Lee

Rochelle is a people-oriented and dedicated professional at S-2international, bringing a strong work ethic, great communication skills, and adaptability to her role. With a focus on teamwork and collaboration, Rochelle embodies her personal mottos: "Teamwork makes the dream work" by John C. Maxwell and "When life gives you lemons, make lemonade" by Elbert Hubbard. She is driven by a desire to continuously learn and gain valuable industry knowledge and experience.
Rochelle's positive attitude and willingness to learn are evident both in her professional and personal life. She is currently learning how to play chess with her grandson, demonstrating her commitment to embracing new challenges. Outside of work, Rochelle enjoys playing basketball with her grandson, spending quality "girl time" with her granddaughters, and engaging in DIY and home decor projects.
A proud mentor to many young women, Rochelle wants to be remembered for her loving spirit, thoughtfulness, and the way she makes others feel—echoing the wisdom of Maya Angelou. Rochelle also supports important causes, including the American Cancer Society and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, reflecting her compassionate nature.
With a passion for helping others and a strong belief in continuous growth, Rochelle remains a valued member of the S-2international team, always striving to make a positive impact both inside and outside of the workplace.
At 31 years old, Scott is a family-oriented and God-fearing man with a passion for sports, competition, and new challenges. He coaches middle school basketball, where he enjoys helping young athletes grow both on and off the court. Scott's dedication to fostering teamwork and development drives his approach to coaching and life.
Recently, Scott joined S-2international as a Business Development Specialist, bringing his competitive spirit and love for tackling new challenges into the professional world. He is excited to contribute to the company's growth while continuing to pursue his passion for sports and mentoring young athletes.
